Official PlayStation App released for Android and iPhone

I've managed to tear myself away from hacking the PS3 and Signing things! :)

Anyway! Today saw the European release of the free official PlayStation Application on Android and the iPhone. From my first-hand experience, I can say that the app is quite nice. The app allows users to view their PSN Trophies as well as check up on any updates to their friend’s profiles. Further to this, PlayStation Network gamers will be able to use the service to keep updated with all the latest gaming news for the PS3, PSP, PS2, this PlayStation Application and probably the PlayStation Phone in future.

If you don’t need the fancy stuff and just want to know about releases and beta events, then you'll be happy to know that the app also serves as a mobile reader for the PlayStation Blog for Europe. Finally, the app will enable direct sharing of PSN info through email, Twitter and Facebook – Which is quite sweet to be honest. Not only do Europeans get a Mobile service but they get improved PlayStation-to-Facebook integration too!

The PlayStation Application is free on Android Market and Sony has said they are already working on the next update - This shouldn’t be too long of a wait.

So what are you waiting for? - Search the “PlayStation Official App” on your iPhone’s app store or your Android’s Market place.

We’ll keep you posted
